The old fishing harbour
circa 1920
Ostend's fishing fleet still moored here around 1920 to unload the catch. In 1934 the fleet and the fish auction moved to the new fishing harbour at the Visserijdok on the east bank; this dock became a marina and is now called the Montgomerydok.

Stand on the Visserskaai at the southern end of the dock and frame the water lengthwise, with the masts of the marina further along.
