The Congress Column
circa 1895
The Congress Column, topped with a statue of Leopold I, commemorates the National Congress of 1830-31. The steps and the square are still exactly as shown in this photo, including the view down the surrounding streets.
Stand like this
Stand at the bottom of the steps on Congress Square, roughly on the Rue de Louvain side, and frame the column vertically in the centre.
